Hi Everyone! Today's card uses the Dasher stamp 116816, Gold Embossing Powder 109129, and the Nothern Flurry Embossing  120902 folder. In case you are new to embossing, this card shows two common embossing techniques and they have differnt applications. Embossing overall is a term to describe a raised effect on your project.

Embossing powder – used to create a low rise embossment of image…any stamp image can be used with embossing powder. You stamp first with Versamark as it is a clear ink and stays wet long enough for the embossing powder to be applied. A Heat Tool (kinda like a hairdryer) is used to activitate the embossing powder. It creates those fabulous images found on greeting cards esp when gold or silver powder is used. 109129

Embossing folder – used to create raised images on paper. Whatever the folder image is will press into the paper. The Big Shot machine is used to apply slight pressure on the folder to make the impression. 120902
To make:

Stamp Dasher to Very Vanilla 101650 cardstock using Versmark 102283
Sprinkle the gold embossing powder to cover image – tap off excess.
With your Heat Tool 100005 apply heat to embossed image.
(The heat from the heat tool activates the embossing powder to change its properties to get the desired effect.)
Layer with Red Red cardstock102482.
Run very vanilla through Northern Flurry embosser using the Big Shot 113439.
Tie Real Red 5/8" Satin ribbon 117286 around bottom.
Adhere to cardbase
Run dasher image through Norther Flurry on a separate pass.P1050092
Adhere dasher image to front of card.
Option…(wink) don't run dasher through embosser. I laid a non-embosser image over top so you can decide which you like best!
