Here's a use for our Build a Blossom Stamps (121923 wood and 121994 clear) and Blossom Petal Punch 121808…use for candle flames! 3 of the 4 petal images from the punch make ideal flames when you turn the pointy side up! All 3 can be used and each take on a different personality. I used the smallest petal with one of the coordining stamps. This card is a great one for using up your scraps too! With the exception of the card base, all my pieces came from my scraps.
How to make the flame: Stamp image with Peach Parfait 119783 in on Daffodil Delight card stock 119683. I trimmed my card stock to about a 3/4" strip then stamped the image to line up right with punch orientation. Pretty much straight up and down with pointy side up. Wala! flames.
To make candle sticks: cut seven 1/2" strips of leftover scrap designer paper. Greenhouse Gala shown 117167. I used Dotto 103305 removable adhesive so I could reposition the candles as I got my laying the way I wanted.
I started with a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Whisper White 100730 square to build my candles on. I worked from left to right to place my candles and trimmed off about 1/8" on the right side to even up with my last candle. You may not need to. Layer on 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" square of Pear Pizazz 119795.
Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Whisper White and run front of card through the Big Shot113439 using Elegant Lines embossing folder 119277.
With Pear Pizazz ink 119784, stamp senitment from Curly Cute (117014 wood, 120510 clear).
This is another stamp set/punch combo that is in the current Occasion Mini ending April 30. As with the cupcake punch, I bet the Blossom Petals punch will be a carry over. But again, I don't know that for sure.
Enjoy making candle flames using your Blossom Petals punch and stamps. Happy Crafting!~ Dee
