Hi Everyone! May is National Scrapbook Month. What better thing to inspire me to work on a page than my great-nephew Taylen enjoying sand and sun over Spring Break! He's such a cutie and a little chunk!
For my scrapbooking style, I try to make the photos the focus and the page and embellishment an accent. When I first started scrapbooking, I overwhelmed myself with lot's of specialized embellishments. Don't get me wrong 😉 I loved my pages – they were beautiful! but I got so stressed and obsessed about the do das and stickers that I a) never finished or b) never started to avoid the stress! Now I'm a happy scrapper and I actually can make several pages in a hour. You scrappers know what an accomplishment that can be!
Stamp set: Sunny Fun (123040 wood mount & 123042 clear mount). Flip Flops strip and sentiment both from set.
119950 Tempting Turquoise in the 12×12 pack. Crumb Cake 120953 that's the 8 1/2x 11 size. I split the strip on the left to give the illusion it's a 12 x12.
Ink: Early Espresso 119670 to edge the crumb cake and stamp sandles & Tempting Turquoise 100814 for the sentiment.
Punches: 1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval 119855 & Scallop Oval 119856
Accessories: Smooch Spritz in Log Cabin 119921 on Crumb Cake card stock and Vanilla Shimmer 118772 and Gold Glow 118770 on Tempting Turquoise. I thought that make it sparkle like sand and water and adds another dimension and interest without overpowering the picture.
Happy Crafting!~ Dee
