Hi Everyone! Blog Hop Day 5 is here already and is the last day of the hop. I have enjoyed looking at my fellow hoppers sites and I hope you have too!
I have a 7' tall skinny Christmas tree that I plan to put this JOY banner on in a cascading fashion! Can't wait to see it and our other stocking creations being used for our holiday cards and decorations. The JOY banner uses dies for our Big Shot.
J – is the stocking from Holiday Stocking 124098
O – is from the Scallop Circle 113468 and 3-1/2" Circle Die
Y – is made from 3 candy cane images from Stocking Accents Die 124099

-8-1/2" x 5-1/2" for the stocking
-4" square for circle die
-12" x 1" for scored fan-fold flower
-3 pieces to cover the candy cane image
Very Vanilla 101650 for cuff, toe and heel
Real Red card stock 102482 cut at 5" square for the scallop die

Very Vanilla 3/8" Velvet Stitched Ribbon 125637- 1 yard

Baker's Twine in Cherry Cobbler/White 123125 for button
Adhesives:
Tombo Liquid Glue 110755
Sticky Strip 104294
Large Glue Dots – non SU
For the "J" . Use Holly Berry paper for stocking and Very Vanilla for the cuff, toe,and heel then emboss those three pieces with Snow Burst embossing folder. Adhere with Tombo. Wait to add felt holly until after you have ribbon added. With crop-a-dile punch holes.
For "O" – die cut scallop using Real Red and die cut circle using Holly Berry. Adhere with Tombo. With 12' x 1" piece of Holly Berry, score every 1/4" using Simply Scored. Adhere several strips of Sticky Strip in center of "O" Make a fan fold flower (click here to see posting on how to make) and adhere to Sticky Strip. Add Baker's Twine to Designer button. With glue dot (or hot glue) adhere button. Punch hole in top for stringing ribbon.
For "Y". Die cut 3 candy cane images. Cut 2 right side up and one right side down. With Tombo, glue ends to form "y". Let dry. Punch holes for stringing ribbon.
Take 3' of velvet ribbon and find middle. Make knot in middle. Pull both ends of ribbon through the "O". String "J" and "Y" with ends. Form loop at each end and adhere with sticky strip. With glue dot (hot glue) adhere button at loop.

You have a lot of creativity, there are many ways that you can use this medium, I would like to see is the waterfall in the Christmas tree.
That would make me even more joyful as I see that encouragement. That decoration is very encouraging.
Many would try to do it since you gave us such idea. Thus, it will also be appropriate if we do it whenever special occasions strikes.
