Hi Everyone! Here's another and totally different take on the Holiday Stocking Die featured on this week's Blog Hop! (see previous and featured posting this week) Our Holiday Stocking Die can be used with materials other than paper. This is true wil all Big Shot dies. (Remember our garden stakes? ) Metal flashing was used. It can be found in hardware stores such as Do It Centers, Lowes, and other such suppliers. Look in the roofing section. PLUS it can be embossed!

Metal roof flashing (mine came in a pack of 10 pre-cut 5" x 7")
Real Red Satin Ribbon

Adhesive: Big Glue Dots (non-Stampin' UP!) I found I liked the larger surfaced glue dots for this project.

Run metal flashing through the Big Shot using the Holiday Stocking Die. Take stocking image and emboss using Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Take cuff, toe and heel images and emboss using the Striped embossing folder. Adhere pieces with large glue dot. My image was slightly curled…just slightly. I put an old-fashioned thing called a dictionary book (lol) on top of it  to flatten back out.

With Crop-a-dile, punch hole (use larger one) in corner of stocking. Tie ribbon. It's now ready to hang on your tree or use as stake element in your greenery.

Don't forget to keep following the blog hop this week to see other's postings!

Happy Crafting!~ Dee
