Hi Everyone! My mother-in-law asked me to make her these trays made out of melted peppermint candy. OMGoodness they are so much fun to make. I got just a $1 bag size of both the red and green peppermints. But I wish I had more as it was so fun to experiment with different designs and shapes. I got these 4 plates out of the 2 bags.

I want to get some more candies and try to make bowls. Can't you just see serving a scoop of peppermint ice cream on these? Okay..a brownie first, then peppermint ice cream on top!

How to make your peppermint trays:

Unwrapped candy.
Arrange on parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes. Do not overbake.

The candy is somewhat flexible when first out of the oven. If you wish to try to shape in a bowl, keep parchment paper on candy and carefully place in bowl. Remove candy when completely cooled. Which isn't long…about 10 minutes. Mom served her cookies on them! Turned out cute, especially for my first attempt!

I had this picture up at first…and my friends said my pretzels looked like chicken legs!LOL they do!
