Hi Everyone! I have a fun – 4th of July weekend project for you to create over the long weekend! It's a series of cards made using the new Sprinkles on Top stamp set. The new Tree Builder punch coordinates with the images so no fussy cutting on most of the main images!
AND our cards can be displayed or gifted in this adorable Mini Magazine File! This will be my next video – so look for it Friday.
The card shown above is NOT part of the card series – rather it was from my Stamp-a-palooza event last month. I'll be sharing our cards for this set over the weekend:) AND I'll have a 2-Day SPECIAL around this set so stay tuned!
I will share 2 sizes over the weekend- one for standard cards as well as for note cards.
For the Large Mini Magazine File:
Start with a 9×12 piece of cardstock. Score as shown.
This is the tricky part – with the 9" side at top – score at 1-3/4" BETWEEN the score lines in the middle – in other words DO NOT score all the way down. See other pictures and it will start to make sense (or wait for my video tomorrow LOL) Flip 180 degrees 9" side still at the top and score the other side same way.
Next we want to get that magazine file angle at the top –
9" side at top – Measure 1 3/4" from the first horizontal score line and make a small pencil mark.
Measure over 2 1/2" from the left upper corner and make a pencil mark. Using a paper trimmer, line up the blade guide with the two marks and cut along the line to remove a triangular section from the corner. Repeat on the opposite side. It will look like this.
Add Tear and Tape Adhesive as shown. Fold up the bottom section to form a box bottom to hold your cards.
Take care my stampin' friends!
