Hi Everyone! This week's Must Have Mondays is Stampin' Emboss Powders. Emboss powders turn stamped images into glossy raised designs. What that means for me and is shown in the card above is that you can add color on top of other colors! Like white snowflakes on a dark winter's night! White craft ink is okay, but it isn't as distinct as when you use White Stampin' Emboss Powder! The technique or usage is called heat embossing.
Steps to heat embossing:
Wipe surface with the Embosssing Buddy to remove static from your surface (powder won't stick).
Stamp image with VersaMark ink.
Sprinkle emboss powder over top of inked image and tap off excess.
Activate and set emboss powder with the Heat Tool. (Hairdryers will not work and not safe to use in this application.)
This card was my November Team (my team the Designer Paper Dolls) swap card. The snowflakes and Silent Night sentiment heat embossed.
Tomorrow's Tuesday Tip will be on how to create the moon landscape on this card. Video Tutorial on this card tomorrow!
