Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Glitter Queen’s Gift Card Holder Blog Hop!
For me, when I think of decorating for the holidays, I think of hanging stockings. While our daughter and her hubby are in their late 20’s, I still hang stockings for them at our house. We still start off Christmas by giving the “kids” their stockings.
So with that in mind, I wanted to make a pillow box stocking from the Tages & Trimmings Bundle! It fits gifts cards and other small treats and gifts! Quilted Christmas Designer Paper and the coordinating cardstock pack gives so many color combinations to use for choosing patterns for your stockings.
How to assemble:
Die cut images – stocking out of designer paper, cuff, heal and toe elements out of cardstock. Cut snowflake using glimmer paper.
I did use the slot die on the stocking – this is to allow ribbon or in this case, tinsel to be run through. Use a standard hole punch in the back side. I used a 1/4″ hole punch.
Stamp To/From on the top cuff. On a 1/2″ strip of whisper white, stamp Enjoy! (cut to length of gift card.
Using Mulitpurpose Glue – glue cuff, toe, heel and snowflake. Add Tear & Tape to the back section as shown – Make sure the hole punch is positioned as shown when you had the tape.
Fold all score lines. Remove Tear & Tape. It’s easier for me to align the front stocking while flat to one side. Then fold over and align and adhere the other side.
Tuck in the bottom of the pouch. Tie a loop with a knot and thread through the 1/4″ hole inside of the pouch. Close that section and thread loop through front die cut slot.
Easy way to make the loop! Grab a cylinder like a lipstick tube or such. Tie around the tube then slip off! The bigger the tube, the bigger the loop! You can see an example in the sample above on the left side of the photo!
