Hi Everyone! Another fun hop brought to you by the Glitter Queens’ Group!
This month’s theme is TREAT HOLDERS. And 3D items are the best as they add versatility to your paper crafting supplies.
My treat holder today will hold a Lindt Lindo Truffle. I like to think of Lindors as “over indulgence without going over board”!
This is a grown-ups treat that is perfect for a holiday or thank you. I used A Good Day stamp set as it’s an AWESOME stamp set for treat holders. The set has a variety of images to use all year round!
You can make 8 treat holders out of (1) 12×12 designer paper or card stock.
I like having projects like this in my treat holder idea file.
- It’s a super quick treat holder to make if you need a quick thank you.
- Along the same lines, easy to mass produce for a holiday or party favor
- It helps to use up extra sheets of 12×12 Designer Paper stash!
How to make:
To make the outer strip, you need a 2″ x 8″ of Designer Paper. Painted with Love Specialty Designer Paper is a little thicker than most designer paper so it’s nice and sturdy for this product! Score along the 8″ side at 3-1/4″ and 4-3/4″. With Scallop Tag Topper – punch each 2″ end.
For insert: 2-1/2″ x 2″ coordinating cardstock (Me to your Designer Paper.
Along the 2-1/2″ side, score 1/2″ from both sides.
(not shown) with a 1-1/4″ circle punch, punch circle in the center section (1-1/2″ x 2 section in the middle of the scored lines.)
Add Tear & Tape to the 1/2″ score sections and place on the inside of the outer strip. Drop candy in! 🙂
I like to TIE my sentiment tag to the front tag loop and SECURE my treat holder with a clip. Why? So they don’t have to tear open the top to open! And (giggle) admire our handy work or possibly re-gift it! LOL
To make the sentiment tag, use Melon Mambo ink to stamp the sentiment on scrap Whisper White and decorative image on Melon Mambo scrap cardstock. Punch decorative out with the new 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and use the 1/8″ hand held circle punch to make hole for baker’s twine. Punch sentiment with 1″ circle punch. Layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals, add bakers twine (I used retired Calypso Coral but you could sub with Peekaboo Peach!) and tie to treat holder.
Tie a bow around the binder clip,
I hope you enjoyed my project!! Now lets keep hopping! Up next is my good friend Beth!
