Curvy Keepsake -Grateful

Curvy KeepsakeHi Everyone! Here's a peak at my Thanksgiving place setter. A Curvy Keepsake box all decorated fall with a grateful sentiment.

Inside the box for the women (candy for the rest – well the ladies will get a candle AND candy), is a tea light. I got this PartyLite Autumn Glow scent from my friend Stefanie. The fragrance is amazing and I know my family will enjoy.

DSCN5754I tend to use candy as the go-to surprise inside the Curvy Keepsake. But this reminded me to use it for small gifts too! I think this would be fun to give the gals at work too. Especially if someone is trying to eat healthier.

Regal Cardstock Collection was used. I do like to show that a pack of the assortments really do go a long way and do not break the bank!

General Instructions:

Die cut Curvy Keepsake out of Cajun Craze. Emboss using the Woodgrain embossing folder. Assemble.
Stamp and die cut leaves. Crushed Curry and Old Olive cardstock and ink.
Die cut sentiment from Season Frames using Gold Glimmer Paper.
Add bows using Linen Thread and Gold Metallic Thread.

Must Have Mondays – Circle Punches & Apple Punch Art Tutorial

Apple Punch ArtHi Everyone! My home PC has gotten new life and I should be good-to-go again…yeah! I hate to admit it, but I struggled using hubby's new laptop. The left and right click areas blended in with the area to move the mouse around and I couldn't get it to react that way I needed. (giggle) why do they all have to be SO different? hahaha

Today's Must Have Mondays is circle punches. Which ones? all 🙂 Purchase them over time until you have all sizes. Circle punches are great as you can use them to punch out images and sentiment and layer them unto your projects for interest. Also used in treat boxes to create holding space for K-Cups (project shown above and see the post on how to make here). They are also key shapes to punch art.

The 1-3/4" Circle Punch was used for both the apple punch art in this project. It's a great size to get started on a circle punch collection! My punch is the old style from Stampin' UP!

To make the Apple Punch Art - use the template below to make your apple shapes. Take the White Gel Pen to make a highlight.

Dual K-Cup Holder Video Tutorial

DSCN5705Hi Everyone! I so excited – today is our teams Mini Retreat! Local Designer Paper Dolls will gather in person and Happy Mail will be going out to all other Dolls on Monday. This is one of the projects they will make – a dual K-Cup Holder decorated for fall. I found some apple cider k-cups at Walmart so PERFECT!

The beauty of this project is it takes MINIMAL items and actually – use up your scrap pieces!

The only tools you need are the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and a scoring tool like Simple Scored or the scoring blade use on the Stampin' Trimmer.

Here's a video tutorial on how to make the holder. Tomorrow's post will show the punch art apple.

Festive Flower Builder Punch – Fall Flower Version

DSCN5687Hi Everyone! Playing with this week's Must Have Monday – the Festive Flower Punch! Here's a fall version. Feel free to load up the layers! the more petals (8 large, 8 medium) for a fuller look!

Tuck in a Metallic Foil Doily behind for that little extra touch.

DSCN5684Add to a card, box or bag. Here I added to the Petite CafĂ© Bag. It's lined..Perfect for your homemade treats. You know when you indulge in those specialty chocolate stores and they put your goodies in a bag with a liner – not necessarily a wax liner, but lined so the edible doesn't stick to the paper sides? That's what this bag has!

English Garden Designer Paper used at the backdrop and the yellow flower picks up the yellow accents of the paper.

General Instructions: Punch 8 sets of petals out of Delightful Dijon and 2 of the smallest (inside) out of Chocolate Chip. Each layer needs a base. I punched out a 1" circle for the largest petals and a 3/4" circle for the medium petals.
Option: I embossed the petals with Decorative Dots and inked around the edges.
With largest petals – with Multipurpose glue – add petals to 1" base circle.
With medium petals – add petals to the 3/4" base.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to add layers together.
Add 2 "bikini top" looking petals to top.
Add the 2 Chocolate Chip inside petals.

September 2015 Designer Paper Dolls Swaps

DSCN5602Hi Everyone! Here are the September Swap Cards from Designer Paper Dolls Davette, Summer and Linda! Swap theme was Fall Birthdays. I'll share my swap project tomorrow with it's video tutorial!

Let's take a closer look at their swaps from left to right!

DSCN5603Davette's card uses the Woodland Textured Embossing folder and the Leaflets Framelits and Hello You Thinlits to create her card. She embossed the inside too!

DSCN5605How happy does Summer's card make one!? English Garden Designer Paper is accented with a Pansy Punch embellishment to highlight the floral image. A feminine birthday card with non-feminine colors…beautiful!

DSCN5604Linda also used the Woodland folder! Leaflets Framlits and retired SU die that had acorns (could sub with the new Acorn Builder Punch) she applied Crystal Effects to for the shiney, slightly 3D look.
