Hi Everyone! What’s spookier than a family of sharks!? And how fun to add this to your treat bag! Or put a little candy inside his Baby Shark mouth 🙂 Or better yet, have your children or grandkids make for their friends for Halloween.
See photos below to assemble! My description steps will following the order of the pictures:
Start with point at top.
Bring bottom point up to top point. Use bone folder for crisp fold.
You now have a triangle. Bring right bottom point up to meet top point. Use bone folder.
Repeat left point.
Take the front layer top point directly down to the fold. This creates the pocket.
Take the right side point and bring in up and tuck inside the “pocket”. The pocket will not fully develop until booth sides tucked.
Take the left side point and tuck into the pocket.
Now we need some shark accessories! Turn it around so the tucked part is up to the top of your work surface as shown:
Materials for the shark:
2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ squares – 1 Whisper White, 1 Petal Pink – Free hand cut at the diagonal
1″ x 3-1/2″ Whisper White
2″ x 2-3/4″ in shark cardstock color
2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ in shark cardstock color
Googly Eyes – I like the big ones!
For the 2″x 2-3/4″ rectangle – cut as shown to make top fin and side fins. Use Multipurpose glue to adhere to back. TIP! Not shown.- Adhere the 2-3/4″ square to the back of your shark. This covers the fins and adds a finished look to the bookmarker.
Update! Here’s a Video Tutorial for you!
Enjoy making your Baby Shark and Family Corner Bookmarks!
Hi Everyone! Welcome to another Glitter Queen Hop! It’s a Fall Fun-Fold Fantastic Hop theme!
I’m excited to share with you this easy to add Mountain Valley fold to the inside of any card.
I like it horizontal on the inside and I’m sure you could make it vertically too!
To make the mountain valley fold component, take a 1″ x 11″ strip of cardstock and score at 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″ and 8-1/2″. The mountain fold is the center fold at 5-1/2″ and the other 2 scores are the valley folds.
Cardbase: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored in half at 5-1/2″
3 sets of layering sections: 4-1/” x 5-3/8″ cardstock & 4″ x 5-1/4″ Designer Paper
Mountain Valley insert as stated above: 1″ x 11″ strip of cardstock and score at 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″ and 8-1/2″. The mountain fold is the center fold at 5-1/2″ and the other 2 scores are the valley folds.
For layering squares: (4) 2″ x 2″ Whisper White & (3) 1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″ Designer Paper
Add layering sections to front and inside of card.
Add the Mountain Valley fold strip to the inside of the card as shown. Either end of the strip (think 1st section and the last 4th section) get glued down completely. the 2 center folds are not adhered.
Stamp images on the plain whisper white cardstock square.
Layer Designer Paper Squares unto the whisper white squares. Add all four squares to the inside of the card
Using Gather Together Bundle, create elements for the Stitched Nested Labels Die. Adhere to front of card.
After toothbrush splatter, add Shimmery Crystal Effects to the pumpkins.
The copper shimmer paint is on the clearance rack at the time of the post! and perfect for all accents. I used a dedicated toothbrush to splatter the paint on the front and inside of the card.

And what better way than to kick it off with a Blog Hop too!
My card today is a gate fold card with a unique opening. The opening is created by using a die in the opposite direction with the “blade” side facing up. One makes the gate fold base as normal. Then sandwich the die with blade side up on the card’s inside. Position the die on the section where the bird is at. (decorate the inside of the card after die cutting.
If you enjoy seascapes, Lilypad Lake pairs beautiful with the entire Tranquil Textures Suite of products. Which is what I’ve done on this card!
• Whisper White: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” Scraps for die cutting
• Mint Macaron: (2) 2” x 5-3/8”; 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”; Scraps for die cutting
• Tranquil Textures Designer Paper: (2) 1-7/8” x 5-1/4”; 4” x 5-1/4”
• Night of Navy: ~ 4”x 3” for die cutting
• Tranquil Tide: scraps for die cutting
1. Score Whisper White card base along the 8-1/2” side at 2-1/8’ & 6-1/4”.
2. Add layering pieces to panels.
3. With cutting side face up (opposite of normal, place on the inside center of card.
4. Close flaps and run through the Big Shot. Note – it will be tight but will cut. This will cut out the oval window on the front of the card.
5. Die cut scallop oval frame using Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.
6. Add inside layers.
7. Stamp and die cut images. Color using Stampin’ Blends Markers.
8. Die cut oval and stamp images.
