Red, White & Bloom Card using Daisy Punches

Red, White & Bloom Card using Daisy Punches

Hi Everyone! Welcome to our Glitter Queen’s Hop featuring Anything Red, White and Blue!
A local florist advertised this slogan and I thought it clever!

A take on the American flag using the 2 sizes of Daisy Punches by Stampin’ UP! Stamp images from Daisy Lane stamp set using tone on tone. Layer over a coordinating color unstamped, punched daisy and bling it up with Gold Faceted Gems! You could use the Silver Faceted Gems or any center embellishment.

If sending overseas, I would recommend using a yellow cardstock center punched out with circles or the Perennial Essence Floral Centers if you didn’t want any reflective elements.

I used the Corrugated 3D embossing folder to add my “Flag Stripes”

Since the front was busy, I thought keeping the inside sentiment simple would look the best. It’s from Daisy Lane stamp set too!

A cheerful card to any military personnel stateside or anyone who loves Americana!

Snowflake Showcase Meets Merry Merlot

Snowflake Showcase Meets Merry Merlot

Hi Everyone! This is one of my cards for my local card class tomorrow. The card features Snowflake Showcase products – The die and stamps are only available through November 30th! I paired it with the Joyous Noel Designer Paper which was so popular it sold out!

For me, the snowflake is the star of the show and put it front and center. The star is die cut out of Sahara Sand Cardstock and sponged with Copper Shimmer Paint.

The inside of the card is equally beautiful with a 3-D embellishment. For the front of the card, one could take Merry Merlot cardstock and use embossing powder to create the feel of the designer paper.

Measurements of Cardstock and Designer Paper:

  • Merry Merlot: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scrap for inside snowflake
  • Sarah Sand: (2) 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″, scraps for front snowflake
  • Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper: Copper scraps for snowflake centers
  • Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Paper (N/A): 4″ x 5-1/2 or substitute Merry Merlot and heat emboss images in copper and white embossing powder

General Instructions:

Add layers to front of card. Die cut snowflakes. Sponge Copper Shimmer Paint onto large snowflake and around edges of inside snowflake. Add copper snowflake on top as shown using a glue dot. Stamp inside of card. Add ~ 4″ of ribbon to center of card front. Add large snowflake with stampin’ dimensional. Add copper thread to back of inside snowflake and add to inside of card using dimensionals. Stamp images on envelopes.

Santa’s Workshop Matchbook Treat Holder

Santa’s Workshop Matchbook Treat Holder

Hi Everyone! OMGoodness I love how cute this matchbook treat holder turned out! I used up some scraps from the Santa’s Workshop Specialty Designer Paper and these ADORBS chocolate Santas.

Here’s what the packaging looks like. You can find the candy at Walmart or Dollar Tree.

Yesterday at our team meeting, we had a treat holder shoe box swap. The Designer Paper Dolls that participated are shown below holding up their project! From left to right: Linda Bradly, Beth Bolinger, Sue Handshoe and Rita Bauman. Linda designed 3 tags that we could use on a treat or bag using the beautiful Joyous Noel Paper, Beth designed a bag from 1 sheet of 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock. Sue designed a cool blue tone snowflake tag, and Rita designed a slider treat holder.

The matchbook I made uses hardly any materials!

Garden Green Cardstock: 6-1/2″ x 2-1/4″. Scored at 2-3/4″, 3″, and 6″
(2) Santa’s Workshop Designer Paper 2″ x 2-1/2″
(2) Basic Black Cardstock 2-1/8″ x 2-5/8″

If you need anything to complete the project as shown, you can shop with me here! Product listing below.

Altered Notebooks with Snowflake Showcase

Altered Notebooks with Snowflake Showcase

Hi Everyone! Welcome to November! The holidays are fast approaching so today I wanted to share with you a project featuring the Limited Time Snowflake Showcase projects by Stampin’ UP! Holy Moly – they saved a good one for this special. I’m ALL ABOUT the die set Snowfall Thinlits. I highly recommend it for one’s collection!

I LOVE gifting winter or Christmas themed notebooks now so the recipient can use all through the season. Especially if it’s a Christmas theme. Sometimes, it feels a little funny in January or February to have it out.

This was my example for my Facebook VIPs Color Challenge! My team and customers have access to this private group. The colors are just a launching point! As you can see, I did slight variations so the colors matched more closely with my notebook colors.I found these notebooks over the summer at Walmart for $1.88 each. The notebook is 8-1/2″ x 6″.

The colors layers for the polka dot notebook: (Colors of Poppy Parade, Tranquil Tide)
Poppy Parade 8″ x 5-1/4″
Tranquil Tide 7-3/4″ x 5″
Santa’s Workshop Designer Paper 7-1/2″ x 4-3/4″

The layers for the tree notebook: (Colors of Real Read, Garden Green, Pool Party)
Garden Green 7-1/4″ x 4-3/4″

Whisper White 7″ x 4-1/2″

Here’s a close-up of the large snowflake die as well as the beautiful Snowflake Trinkets. On the right sample, I used my Stampin’ Blends to color the center rhinestone!
