Hi Everyone! Welcome to our Christmas in July Blog Hop!
My project today is a 4″ x 4″ Mini Album that features Under the Mistletoe Suiteof products. And the Under the Mistletoe Designer Paper is part of the Buy 3, Get 1 Free Designer Paper Special this month by Stampin’ UP! (Check it out here!).
I LOVE MINI ALBUMS – I love to make them and to flip through the pages and enjoy the paper designs. I haven’t made on forever and this designer paper REALLY inspires me.
Here’s my video tutorial for you followed by the measures and items used to make this Mini Album.
Measurements:
Designer Paper – (2) 8″ x 6″ – scored at 4″ both sides & (3) 4″ x 8″ – scored along the 8″ side at 4″
Cardstock for spine support – 1″ x 4″ – scored at 3/8″, 1/2″, & 5/8″
Pretty Pines Thinlets are a great set of dies to compliment Under the Mistletoe Designer Paper! I die cut out the elements for the decorative elements of all (see video) using: Under the Mistletoe Cardstock Pack PLUS Whisper White, Early Espresso, and Soft Suede.
Christmas, holiday events and gatherings are some of our most cherished memories! Here are some key things you are going to need to complete your 2013 Scrapbook:
Great Photos! – make sure you have 2-4 'good' photos of each event. AND make sure YOU are in some too! Many times we are not recorded in the event because we are busy taking the photos!
Jot down reactions to gifts, describe the smell of homemade cookies in the kitchen, the funny and crazy things someone said…etc…This will be your journal notes to go along with the pictures. It might look like this:
"While making Grandma Harting's sugar cookie recipe, the kids got more flour on the counter, the floors and themselves than in the cookies! Lots of giggles 🙂 Here's Grandma Harting's Sugar Cookie Recipe: (add recipe to the page)"
Whether paper or digital..
Holiday Designer Paper and Coordinating Card Stock also consider -Regal Collection card stock on the Blitz! See below – Use 12×12 Whisper White and Very Vanilla as builder base – 12×12 Designer Paper Color Collection Packs so very versatile to have on-hand
Stamps and Sentiment
Coordinating Embellishments & Tools
Get the photos out of the phone/camera and into a scrapbook or digital book! 🙂 (This is what I need to work on, haha)
The Holiday Catalog ends January 1st and there's lots of retired items today added to the Clearance Rack! Many are holiday oriented so it's a perfect time to find lots of bargins for you 2013 Christmas Scrapbook!
Hi Everyone! Woohoo!!! I completed 4 scrapbook pages…big big accomplishment for me lol! See my previous posts for the other ones up close and here are the last two of my goddaughter's senior pictures.
As with the other's, the Sunburst Technique is used.
AND it was crazy, but Stampin' UP!'s Designer Papers worked perfectly with her pictures!
Birthday Basics 130145 (above), Epic Day this and That 130814 (left), Modern Medley 126926 and Sweater Weather 132184 were used on the pages. Here they are all together!
And video tutorial for the making a scrapbook page with this technique.
Hi Everyone! Another scrapbook page (8-1/2″ x 11″) with goddaughter Jillian’s black and white senior picture. Modern Medley Designer Paper 126926 is a set of sheets in classic designs, in Basic Black and Very Vanilla colors. PLUS Jillian is very, very talented musically and I incorportate the music sheet design frequently as a nod to her talent.
You can also frame a page! – I have to go looking for a slightly bigger frame so the matting comes through. Make sure to take that into consideration LOL unlike me, if you plan to frame.
If you look closely, the triangle wedges are not uniform. I cut a variety of sizes and lenghts. And feel free to overlap pieces to close the gaps.
IDEA! How cute would it be to take this year’s school picture – the wallet sizes, use this technique and send a framable card to grandparents! Send a light weight frame along with it! My parents would have loved that!
Hi Everyone! This lovely young woman is my goddaughter Jillian! I have 4 senior photos of her from last year that I'm scrapbooking. AND I'm going to use the Sunburst Technique on all 4 but in slightly different orientaions and layouts. I have this and the Circle Card Thinlit videos planned yet this week!
Don't you just love how easy it is to turn a card idea into a scrapbook page inspiration and vice versa?!
I used the entire 12×12 Whisper White 124302 card stock as the base. Here's a series of photos you can view to see the assembly progress. As with the card, I recommend Stampin' Anywhere Glue Sticks 104045 for the adhesive to cover the cardstock.
AND I have to give kudos to Stampin' UP! for making the Stampin' Paper Trimmer 126889 an AWESOME size so one can turn the strip on the diagonal to cut. Other trimmers are just at 12 and allow no wiggle room. See the photo above in the Thumbnails.
Hi Everyone! At our Designer Paper Dolls team meeting Sunday, this was our project! I found this tutorial a few years ago from Fabulously Artsy. TFS! This and That Epic Day Designer Paer 130814 was used for an updated look. The paper pairs perfectly with the Pop-up Posies Designer Kit 131395. Both the Epic Day paper and the Pop-up Posies are available at this time for a perfect crafting smash up! Pop-Up Posies will be gone with the Spring Catalog at the end of April and Epic Day is a sneak peak this month and return May 31st with the launch of the new catalog.
Here's what's needed to make the basic 4 pocket mini album:
Three(3) 4" x 12" card stock Two(2) 4" x 6" card stock Two (2) 4" x4" card stock for front and back covers Four (4) 3" x3-1/2" card stock for pocket tabs Ten(10) 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" designer paper
Click through the thumbnails to see all the pages and a detailed video tutorial is found below.
