Fun Weekend at our Team Retreat

DSCN5216Hi Everyone! OMGoodess did we ever have fun Saturday and Sunday at my first annual Designer Paper Dolls Retreat! The projects will be available to the rest of my team first then I'll share with you afterwards.

We spent 1 -1/2 days of stamping! Everyone brought a shoebox swap and I had 3 projects. We went from 9 am to about 7pm Saturday then out to a local restaurant for dinner. Sunday started at 9 am and finished with hubby Jeff grilling some brats for lunch.

January Team Swaps..Anything Goes

DSCN4986Hi Everyone! Our January team swap theme was Anything Goes! And it's great to now have a variety of cards on hand. Speaking of swaps, I'm getting ready for Stampin' UP!'s Leadership next week. I'm in 2 organized swaps and working on them as we speak. Here's the Designer Paper Dolls' swap cards up close!

Linda's – Still plenty of winter left in Indiana so great winter card. I really like the 2 different types of embossing folders used.
DSCN4992Lori's – Lori made her quarterly team challenge cards all at once! And used one of her themes as her swap card! The challenge cards use a Mojo Monday sketch. Like the use of the flower and butterfly as sketch elements..Cute!
DSCN4987Summer's – how much are we all loving the Sale-a-bration stamp set Lotus Blossoms? I like the side stem to allow the sentiment underneath some room and the great details of dainty pearls.
Davette's: Super cute baby card using several new products from the Occasions catalog. One Tag Fits All stamp set and the coordinating Note Tag Punch. Another card with lots of little details that make the card a wow!
Lisa's: She uses what she calls "contriband" products, meaning non -SU. I'm more about sharing our creations than sticking strickly to SU only products in our team swaps. Here, Lisa found some pretty awesome dies to create this sunny card.
I'll share my butterfly swap card more in detail tomorrow. Our team gets together monthly, and a video is posted on our team blog afterwards. {Heart} my team! All the stampers are great and I enjoy all of them!

You may have noticed my Christmas present from hubby Jeff. The ink pad combo unit! It's so nice having all the ink at a glance, knowing what refills I need, to grow with the next In-colors too, but just barely LOL

May Team Swaps – Over-the-top Femine

DSCN4347Hi Everyone! Here are most of my team's (the Designer Paper Dolls) May swaps. They are such over-achievers 🙂 Theme was over the top femine and they WOWed me!

Top Row: Lisa's screen card. Woozie! sums it up best. I don't know how I missed this card layout before and it's definitely on my radar now! Can't wait to try it myself.

2nd Row – left to right
Rita's lattice card. OMGoodness….love all the layers to make this WOW. Lattice Die is a retiring item. It does look like a garden lattice with flowers and a butterfly!

Summer's pop out box card.Spring into happiness I say! What a great gift card and the Fresh Print Designer Paper makes for the coordinated color pallet. Love how she built up the flowers! Super cute!!!

Linda's card. CLEVER! to use vellum paper to make a clear mason jar out of the die set from last holiday catalog. And I love how she used the Hardwood background stamp on pink to keep it country yet femine.

Here's the cards up close!
