Hi Everyone!
Today I’m sharing a set of cards that I presented at the Stampin’ UP! Midwest Region Gathering last weekend! It showcases the new Kintsugi Inspiration Suite Collection!
I love everything about this suite! From the meaning behind Kintsugi in both art form and philosophy.
“The meaning of the word Kintsugi literally means, in Japanese, joining or repairing with gold.
How to pronounce kintsugi
US/ˈkɪnt.suː.ɡiː/
Kintsugi, an ancient Japanese practice, turns the simple act of repairing broken pottery into a profound art form. Dating back to the 15th century, Kintsugi uses gold to mend cracks in pottery, giving the item new life and adding beauty to what was once broken. Beyond its technical aspects, Kintsugi embodies a powerful philosophy, encouraging the embrace of flaws and imperfections
Kintsugi teaches us that our scars and vulnerabilities shape us into individuals who are stronger and more compassionate.” – Justin Whitmel Earley
“The beauty is not in hiding your flaws, but in celebrating them as part of your journey.” – David Wong”
