Hi Everyone!
Quick FYI – today’s the last day to get my FREE Online Class with any size order using HOST CODE 6FBY3HMF. See details here.
Now onto the masking technique- Tuesday Tip! Use your die images to make “shadow” or background images. These are NOT your basic shapes, rather the crazy looking dies when you use them all by themselves – when you aren’t using with the coordinating stamps.
I used the Color & Contour Bundle (Color & Contour Stamp Set & Scallop Contour Dies – save 10% in the bundle) for the card. I took the die that cuts out the flower on the stem and made a mask. Tape it down and use a Blending Brush (as of today’s post, unorderable but due in June 28, 2021) . Use the Blending Brush ( or sponge, sponge dauber) to add color to the cut out image. Remove the mask and you have an outline or shadow image that will coordinate with the stamp. I then took one of the scallop dies from the set and gussy it up with a fun scallop rectangle.
Next stamp and color the coordinating flower image and die cut. Stamp the sentiment. Layer the stamp image with a dimensional foam dot and off set.
Add to your card front. I love, love this look. It really adds another element that is oh, so easy to achieve!

I was telling some friends, LOL just my luck the week I highlight masking, the Blending Brushes cannot be orders (due back in stock by the end of June). But make sure to add it to your wish list! or you can use sponges or sponge daubers too.
Take care and Happy Crafting!
