Hippo Happiness with Basic Borders Die Card

 

Hi Everyone!

Day 5 of showcasing the Basic Borders Dies. Here I combined the zig-zag die from the set with Hippo Happiness & Hippo & Friends. Below is this week’s cards and all the dies from Basic Borders Dies were used! AND 4 of the cards feature paper from the Designer Paper Sale this month! (see what’s on sale here.)

For the Hippo card, I started with 2 different patterns from the You’re a Peach.  Cut both at 4 x 2-1/2.  Die cut the pieces TOGETHER on the diagonal. Use 1/2 of each different patter and match up! Layer on Basic Black. (giggle) I don’t know what I was doing but I ended up matting on the black THEN trimming. I could not get it to work out on a 4-1/8 x 2-5/8 piece for anything. Sometimes you just take it to the trimmer! LOL
