Boo To You Banner Day 4 of 10 Days of Halloween

Boo To You Banner Day 4 of 10 Days of Halloween

Hi Everyone! I got the biggest smile when I had seen online putting vampire teeth in donuts! I added Sixlets for eyes. And I thought how fun to use the Boo to You Stamp Set with the Assorted Googly Eyes and make a quick banner.

Yes, you absolutely could stamp on Thich Whisper White and using our Stampin Blends to color the images. But sometimes it’s nice just to have a down & dirty and CUTE way to use the images too!

Here, I die cut the large scallop from the Layer Circles Die in Crushed Curry, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green. The same colors in the Assorted Googly Eyes!

Stamp sentiments from the set in black ink and layer with circles from circles (see supplies below).

Wooden skews can be found in the kitchen isle at stores.

How to assemble:

  • Tie Bakers Twine on skews.
  •  Take a 1-1/2″ Circle (I used basic black so you could see how it looks) in coordinating cardstock and place on twine with a dimensional.
  •  Add another dimensional over top so you sandwich the twine.
  •  Add scallop circle with image – making sure the top half of the image is adhered. You need the weight to be underneath the dimensional so it hangs properly.
  • Add sentiments on either end, covering the twine.
  • Add bat punch image using black dimensionals.

I hope this gives you an idea to try if you take donuts into work or if  you host a Halloween party!

Day 3 of 10 Days of Halloween: Baby Shark & Family Corner Bookmark – Kids Craft

Hi Everyone! What’s spookier than a family of sharks!? And how fun to add this to your treat bag! Or put a little candy inside his Baby Shark mouth 🙂 Or better yet, have your children or grandkids make for their friends for Halloween.

Start with a 6″ x 6″ cardstock.

  • Baby Shark – Daffodil Delight
  • Mommy Shark – Melon Mambo
  • Daddy Shark – Pacific Point
  • Grandma Shark – Grapefruit Grove
  • Grandpa Shark – Granny Apple Green

Product List

See photos below to assemble! My description steps will following the order of the pictures:

  1. Start with point at top.
  2. Bring bottom point up to top point. Use bone folder for crisp fold.
  3.  You now have a triangle. Bring right bottom point up to meet top point. Use bone folder.
  4. Repeat left point.
  5. Unfold.
  6. Take the front layer top point directly down to the fold. This creates the pocket.
  7.  Take the right side point and bring in up and tuck inside the “pocket”. The pocket will not fully develop until booth sides tucked.
  8.  Take the left side point and  tuck into the pocket.

Now we need some shark accessories! Turn it around so the tucked part is up to the top of your work surface as shown:
Materials for the shark:

  • 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ squares – 1 Whisper White, 1 Petal Pink  – Free hand cut at the diagonal
  •  1″ x 3-1/2″ Whisper White
  •  2″ x 2-3/4″ in shark cardstock color
  • 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ in shark cardstock color
  • Googly Eyes – I like the big ones!

For the 2″x 2-3/4″ rectangle – cut as shown to make top fin and side fins. Use Multipurpose glue to adhere to back. TIP! Not shown.- Adhere the 2-3/4″ square to the back of your shark. This covers the fins and adds a finished look to the bookmarker.

Halloween Blog Hop – Spooky Bats & Moon Card

Halloween Blog Hop – Spooky Bats & Moon Card

Hi Everyone! I love Halloween 🙂 which is kind of odd as I can’t watch horror movies at all. Spook movies stay with me too much! BUT I love Halloween parties and seeing the trick or treaters.

My projects for our Halloween hop are a fun candy centerpiece for a party or your desk at work And a card. that uses items from the Spooky Sweets Bundle.

For my card, I wanted to share a couple of easy techniques. 1) Moon Glow and 2) Texture Embossing.

For the moon’s glow, take Whisper White ink and a sponge dauber and sponge  a circle slightly larger than the punch out moon. Just like when you look up at the night sky, there is a slight glow around the moon!. This also creates a contrast to allow the bats to stand out.

One might not think about Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder as a Halloween background. Don’t be afraid to try different embossing folders in a new way!

Here’s a super cute way to offer straws to your party guests or just use as a party décor element. Fill a vase with Halloween Hershey’s Kisses and accent with the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon. I found the paper straws at Target I believe. I had them in my party supplies stash. I added the bats with a Wobble element onto a 1-3/4″ circle punched out with Pumpkin Pie. The bats and circle match the bat/orange wrapped Kisses!

And please join me at my Sunday Night Stamping this week on my
Create! with Dee Facebook page
where I’ll demonstrate several ways to use the Shimmer Paint.
