Hi Everyone! I love Halloween 🙂 which is kind of odd as I can’t watch horror movies at all. Spook movies stay with me too much! BUT I love Halloween parties and seeing the trick or treaters.
My projects for our Halloween hop are a fun candy centerpiece for a party or your desk at work And a card. that uses items from the Spooky Sweets Bundle.
For my card, I wanted to share a couple of easy techniques. 1) Moon Glow and 2) Texture Embossing.
For the moon’s glow, take Whisper White ink and a sponge dauber and sponge a circle slightly larger than the punch out moon. Just like when you look up at the night sky, there is a slight glow around the moon!. This also creates a contrast to allow the bats to stand out.
One might not think about Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder as a Halloween background. Don’t be afraid to try different embossing folders in a new way!
Here’s a super cute way to offer straws to your party guests or just use as a party décor element. Fill a vase with Halloween Hershey’s Kisses and accent with the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon. I found the paper straws at Target I believe. I had them in my party supplies stash. I added the bats with a Wobble element onto a 1-3/4″ circle punched out with Pumpkin Pie. The bats and circle match the bat/orange wrapped Kisses!
I have been THRILLED with past Paper Pumpkin Kits that feature treat making fun…and I’m sure that this year’s is the same! Thrilled enough to order the refill kits to make more!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Halloween Blog Hop! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog or may have come from the person previous to me in the list.
If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
It's hard to think of Halloween without thinking of Halloween Treats! And the new Acetate Card Boxes from Stampin' UP! are more than just for cards! I spied others using the TREAT TUBES in the boxes and my friend Tracy Bradly showed how she filled with Reese's Cups. Loved them both and I had to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) to bring to you and my local customers!
For the mini Reese Cup box – fill with ~15 pieces. Stamp sentiment from Labels of Love and punch out with Everyday Label Punch. Use the 2-1/4" Circle and Starburst punches to make tag. Wrap with ribbon and add tag with baker's twine.
For this treat box – Fill 8 Treat Tubes with candy pieces. Insert into acetate Box. Cut a 2 x 12 strip of Spooky Nights Designer Paper. NOTE it will NOT meet. But that's okay – your sentiment will cover the gap! Use Layer Ovals Framelits with Spooky Cat stamp set to make your sentiment embellishment.
Starting TOMORROW! I will have projects all week from Saturday's Stamp-A-Palooza 2017! Please stop by tomorrow for a week of Palooza!
Hi Everyone! Swirly Squiggles Thinlits Die was top of my list when the 2016-2017 Stampin' UP! Catalog came out. BUT I hadn't dreamed of the other shapes we are all creating. This card will be used in my local card class next week. They can sub out the sentiment but I wanted to show an "adult" Halloween card option!
How good is the PUMPKIN PIE GLIMMER Paper for Fall? So good! Great for Halloween and Fall bling on our cards and projects. PLUS image if your school colors had orange in it…Awesome!
The leaves are from last month's promotion Thoughtful Branches. Stampin' UP! still has some bundles available but now they are while supplies last.
General Instructions: Using the Big Shot Precision Plate – die cut the pumpkin from Swirly Squiggles and the leaf from Thoughtful Branches. Stamp images from Thoughtful Branches and sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Using Gold Wink of Stella – spatter gold flecks.
Helping others discover the love of paper crafting through stamping and Stampin’ Up! products is my thing!
When someone receives a handmade card or gift, they feel special. And I love making others feel special, don’t you? Through stamps, paper and ink, I can make someone’s day!
